
It had been nearly 20 years since Marucci took the Major League by storm. The creators and craftsmen of the definitive bat swung by all of the top sluggers, Marucci was on top of the baseball world. But there’s a whole lot more to baseball than just bats.
Enter the Marucci glove. Exhaustively researched, meticulously crafted and game-changingly performative, the Marucci glove was exactly what every player had been dreaming about - the only problem was no one knew it existed. We were tasked with amplifying the Marucci glove among youth audiences and loosening the vice grip that the dad brands held on the industry.
Field the Difference.
In a game riddled with superstition and habitual tendencies, that would prove to be no easy task. We took an integrated, tactical approach to hit our target at home base and hype up the best glove you’d never heard about.
We launched the campaign at the Marucci World Series - one of the biggest youth baseball events in the nation. Through a series of boots-on-the-ground, guerilla and experiential marketing efforts, we got gloves in (and on) the hands of as many players as possible – and the response was remarkable. Social buzz soared as players shared organically, engaged in giveaways and elevated their game by replacing old faithful with a new, better Marucci glove.
